Above and Beyond Tree Service came to our rescue. Days before departing on a long planned vacation, a tornado ripped apart our neighborhood.. It took out a massive live oak in our back yard. The oak leaned precariously over fence lines and was caught by the neighbor’s tree. While we were away, Above and Beyond came in with a bucket truck and safely lifted the tree over our homes. They ground the huge stump. They disposed of the entire tree. Knowing they were taking care of the storm damage allowed us to take much needed time away. With such a large stump, the grindings/mulch was so deep that 2 chunks of root/trunk remained. They returned to grind these without charge.

These guys went literally and figuratively Above and Beyond. They did work on our yard in Mishawaka that would have taken us weeks of hard labor, in 5 hours. It looked great when done and they cleaned up after the job was done, so it looked liked no one was there. But the key thing that sets them apart is, THEY PICKED UP THE DAMN PHONE AND RETURNED CALLS! Unlike their competitors, I won’t name them but let’s call them *evins and *achur, never returned calls. Or took 5 MONTHS to say they were ready to come out! The approximately 100 year old tree had a trunk OVER 4 feet in diameter at ground level, was twice as high as our two story house had several far reaching branches with 3 power lines running through it, and beneath the garage, a hedge, a fence, several flowering shrubs, smaller trees and a flower bed. It was about 30 feet North to South and the numerous big heavy branches extended from the East neighbors garage, across the entire width of our yard & garage, across the side street, to the edge of the West neighbors yard a distance of about about 70 feet. I’ve had experience with several other well known tree services in the past. Did not for a moment considered calling any of them back again. This was a job requiring some heavy equipment and expertise and I was concerned for their safety, the end result in my yard with all the impediments and I expected some destruction. They treated our tree, our yard, us and themselves with care and respect. They did an excellent job and covered their tracks and cleaned up afterwards. Above and Beyond” isn’t about just trees and landscaping its about Service and Attitude and A JOB WELL DONE. The best recommendation I can give is this: Would I call them back again??? YES. These young men came out and cut down one tree, ground out 4 stumps and landscaped a 25×12 foot area with black dirt and grass seed. Caleb and his crew worked all day to get this done and clean up the whole mess. Price was very reasonable and work was exceptional. I would not hesitate to use them again or refer someone to them.
